There's currently a few conspiracy theories going about the internets that Nvidia will / are nerfing pascal and cards such as the gtx 1080 and 1060 now they have finally launched the geforce 20 / turing cards.

In this video we investigate this and run a series of benchmarks with both a gtx 1060 and a geforcve gtx 1080 to demonstrate that this doesn't have any merit and likely is the result of spectre or meltdown patches and nothing to do with nvidia.
