In July 1947, an alien spacecraft crashed near Roswell, New Mexico. The craft was recovered and taken to Area 51. The lone survivor of the crash, a powerful Grey named Edgar, was also taken and held captive there.
Area 51, the game, is a first-person shooter (FPS) set years later in this particular base, now infested with rampant aliens and a mutagenic virus that change your character. As Ethan Cole (David Duchovny), specialist in the HAZMAT Division, with the help of edgar (Marilyn Manson), you have to discover what's going on inside the base and blast the alien menace and save the world. Your character races against time: the same virus that is mutating the facility personnel into monsters infects him as well , slowly transforming him into an inhuman creature under the control of the alien masterminds.
Descend three miles deep into Area 51, unravel cover-ups and conspiracies, illuminati and alien experiments.
Area 51 is a first-person shooter survival horror video game that was released in 2005. It was developed by Midway Austin and published by Midway Games for the PS2, Xbox, and PC. It is a loose remake of the 1995 light gun video game of the same name. Throughout the game, the player can use a variety of weapons, both human and alien in origin, to defeat their adversaries. Most weapons can only be wielded one handed, however the player can dual wield some weapons, such as the Shotgun and the Sub-Machine Gun.
