RARE SATELLITE images from Area 51 appear to show a mysterious
delta-wing "aircraft" parked in the secretive military base.
For people who love to scour through satellite imagery, Area 51 is often a popular choice to look for secrets from an angle that can see nearly everything. However, most often viewers find that the military base has little to no activity. A low-resolution image from Planet Labs shows a roughly delta-shaped blob on the north apron of the large southern hangar, according to the Drive.
At first, observers were puzzled by this mysterious object, believing it to be a possible new construction project.
However, on January 29, a clearer picture appeared to show that the blob was actually a strange "delta-shaped aircraft" under an unenclosed skeleton-like structure, according to reports.
Along with the mysterious object, an aircraft shelter also appears to be in view.
According to the Drive, the mystery aircraft “has no discernable tail surfaces with what is likely its exhaust extending to the rear and blended with the curved trailing edges of the wings, providing something of a rear apex
“Its forward fuselage tapers into what is most likely a pointed nose.
“There is no doubt about it, this is a fluid-looking design that would likely be very impressive to view close up.”
Observers believe it could some kind of experimental tactical jet from the US military, like the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD).
Rumours of aliens aside, Area 51 is actually a highly classified United States Air Force (USAF) facility located within the Nevada Test and Training Range.
What goes on inside is extremely secret, with the public kept away by warning signs and armed guards.
The secrecy surrounding Area 51 has helped fuel many conspiracy theories.
Most famous is the claim the site hosts an alien spacecraft and the bodies of its pilots, after they crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947.
Area 51 has been used by American aviation authorities since 1955 and is closed off to those without top-level security clearance.
However, the US Government did not reveal the base existed until 2013, in a series of documents released as part of a Freedom of Information request, and it is heavily protected by armed guards.
Earlier this month, area 51 images emerged from a pilot who flew near the secret base on Christmas Day - and conspiracy theorists noted a strange structure inside one of the hangars.
The object is blurry and it cannot be determined exactly what it is, but it has still got conspiracy theorists' tongues wagging.
One person wrote on Twitter: "A mystery long triangular object was spotted in an open Area 51 Hangar.
"According to a message board, I moderate this could be the top secret giant sleeve of Toblerone the government has been hiding from us for years!" nonstop news
