Ever since either patch 260 or 261 (sorry, can't remember exactly), the ocean-level water has been opaque from above. If you know this game, you know that being able to see is critical.

This video is with epic textures selected. Under "low", it's simply solid grey (still opaque).

If you are experiencing this bug, please take a moment to notify the developers of ARK. This is a link to the form they are now using for bug report submissions:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScHdhW5AishZ3o9qUXSJD15CJgzCvBqpN32p77B5VGhAeFQ1A/viewform
They still don't have a real bug tracking system, so you won't get any ticket number, nor a way to upvote or comment on bug reports others have already uploaded. The only way they're going to address anything is if multiple people complain about it.
Above all, please be polite and detailed (eg: include your system specs, settings, anything you think may be relevant).

Recording was made using OCS, sorry for the lack of audio.

My rig:
i7-4790K
32GB RAM
EVGA GTX 950 FTW edition
OS is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
OS is on a local SSD, game storage (home directory) is via NFS hosted on ZFS on a Solaris 11.3 server with SSD ZIL & L2ARC over gigabit network.
