ARK Survival Evolved | Surviving The Center Expansion Alone, Steam Summer Sale | Part 1 | Let's Play
541The Steam Summer Sale is going on, and I finally had to go ahead and pick up ARK: Survival Evolved so I could give it a shot. Will this be a long series? I'm not exactly sure yet! I've got a few ideas in mind, the first is possibly doing a YOLO style of play where I go until I die in the game, which more than likely would happen fairly fast. The other is a kind of choose our own adventure where you guys can help me make the decisions about what to do in the game.
Either way, my rig is put to the test here, but the game operates in ultra settings at 60fps, which means it is absolutely gorgeous. They made a hell of a lovely looking game with this one, it's awesome to just wander around and see the sights.
Anyway, right now we're just getting set up, putting on some clothes, getting some tools, and cranking out some levels. Since I'm playing alone, I've got the taming speed, exp gain, and harvesting amounts up x3. The night passes at x3 speed as well so you folks don't have to be in the dark.

ABOUT: ARK: Survival Evolved:

Drawn completely by hand without any auto-generated content, The Center uses its own save data, with separate options to reset the save data for each individual map.
