Возрождение/Renaissance is the first full-length album by Russian pagan folk metal band Arkona. It was released by Sound Age Production on April 20, 2004 and in 2015 it was re-released by Nuclear Blast.
When this album was made, Arkona was pretty much a one-man band, or should I say a one-woman band. Masha Arhipova composed all the music and intended to get some session musicians to help her with the recording. Возрождение was recorded without a single rehearsal of the band. The piece of metal they made was absolutely epic.
Vocals are a powerful weapon on this album. They are delivered by the powerful Masha Arhipova. It can change your vocal styles from clean, emotional, and melodic to wild screams that have the ability to tear your eardrums apart. The lyrics, which are sung in Russian, are more or less conventional pagan metal lyrics. They glorify Slavic traditions and speak of Slavic ancestors and deities, and they have some really original aspects. They will surely move you, if you speak or understand Russian.

Возрождение/Renacimiento es el primer álbum de larga duración del grupo de pagan folk metal ruso Arkona. Fue lanzado por la discográfica Sound Age Production el 20 de abril de 2004 y en 2015 fue relanzado por Nuclear Blast.
Cuando se hizo este álbum, Arkona era más o menos una banda de un solo hombre, o debería decir una banda de una sola mujer. Masha Arhipova compuso toda la música y tenía la intención de conseguir algunos músicos de sesión para que la ayudaran con la grabación. Возрождение fue grabado sin un solo ensayo de la banda. La pieza de metal que hicieron fue absolutamente épica.
