Arma 3: Yom Kippur Remembrance Project
on the 6.10.73 the largest most devastating war in israels history commenced.
despite having knowledge that a war is imminent, to the point that even the king of jordan with whom israel had no peace treaty at the time, travelled in secret to israel to tell the then prime minister golda meir, of an impending double front arab war, and still golda decided not to act
the decision not to launch preemptive strikes was due to several reasons: the need not to be viewed by the us as the aggressors
the over confidence in the abilities of the idf as a deterrent in itself
the "we shall break their bones" mentality thinking that even if a war happened itll be an easy fight
and despite the fact israel had managed to push into both egypt and syria and bring both cairo and damascus within range of israeli artillery at the end of the conflict, the high death count on all warring parties would be more to convince many, that peace is the only option
this video is by no means a historical recreation of battles that were fought there, just a sort of experiment to try and showcase what it probably was like for those who were there
and of course it may seem abit clunky-this is still ARMA's ai were dealing with and just to film what i have here took several days of filming and refilming
so anyway i hope you'll enjoy this little project of mine- dont forget to press the like button and comment and if youre feeling mighty generous smash that bell button to subscribe and ill see you in the next video..
