In this beginners guide tutorial to flying Helicopters in Arma Reforger I show you how to learn to do a "J Stick / Turn" or "J Hook" fast combat landing, where you bank the helicopter into a steep turn to bleed off speed and descend without a long straight flare stage.

I'm showing you how to do this on Gamepad, for Xbox & PlayStation consoles, but of course for PC players using a controller too.

The tactical advantage of doing a "J Stick" or "J Hook" landing is that you can approach the drop zone very fast without giving away the impression to the enemy that you're about to land - but these types of landings are dangerous and take a lot of practice.

In the video I talk you through the stick control movements you need to do a fast combat drop, and you can see the gamepad stick inputs live on the screen too, in the bottom right hand corner.

Remember that it's just as important to drop troops at the right spot as it is to do a fast landing, so make sure you practice you navigation too!
