Caterpillar Only Run Challenge of Armored Core: Master Of Arena also on a Fresh save/No Human Plus part 7. Oh brother... If you think that in the previous run i was already at a massive disadvantage when lacking Human Plus upgrades and even Free AC building, wait till you see just how utterly bonkers it is when i can only use Caterpillar Legs when going up against arguably the most difficult Arena in the game XD!! Now to my advantage besides me being able to be extremely bulky is that when using Caterpillars you end up being much shorter on height in comparison to Humanoid or Reverse Joint Legs just like with Four Legs and since most of the opponents uses a Meta-Slave Rifle + Blade combo means that many of their attempts to Aerial Slash me will end up missing. The problem however lies in a weakness that all Caterpillars ended up having in Master Of Arena in that their Turning Speed was massively nerfed in comparison to the 1st Armored Core so Faster ACs will be able to circle behind me and try to slash me from the back with me having little answer to that other then trying to reposition myself to face then. Many of the opponents will require me to use a perfect setup to counter then and while i can use a Stagger strategy to stop Blade Tactics from working since i have slow speed, the CPU has frame-perfect reaction times and will often get out of Stunlocks where actual players wouldnt be able to do so. In the end even playing the scummiest way possible is still only enough to be able to advance against most opponents in this Arena and against some opponents i had to hit the Retry button many times or change setups to win.
