He hits like a truck but you're only in any real danger during the last phase.
You've got Iguazu, Snail, and Chatty with you, and rusty on rail gun duty, but it seems like they're scripted to be taken out. It's split into 3 phases with phase 1 just being movement for attacks, phase 2 he starts sending out drones and torpedos, then lastly phase 3 where he busts out the Lansseax Lightning, must be a common ancestor.
The only partner that really matters is Chatty as he'll stick with you until the very last phase but this is a cinematic boss not a super challenging one.
