0I love the obscure gaming systems - the ones that live in the shadows of the mainstream. The Mega Duck console was released in 1993 by Hong Kong based company Welback Holdings. Clearly aiming to take on the successful GameBoy console from Nintendo.
Around 24 known cartridges were released although some have multiple games on. All released in 1993 I believe and many were clones of popular games.
This is Armour Force - a horizontally scrolling shooter. It plays pretty well and graphically has big detailed sprites although it can be hard to see due to the screen on the console. Slow scrolling but playable enough.
As always this is filmed on genuine hardware although it can be hard to film the screen hopefully this gives you an idea of the how the game looks and plays. If you enjoy this video or want to see more videos like this let me know.
