"Those darn mice!"

Forgot to upload this until now, but this was my first take on a song from a pinball game, which I chose to do because while Sonic the Hedgehog is my favorite video game hero, the games I'm really best at were pinball games, either on real machines or on simulators (i.e. Pinball Dreams). The song I've attempted to do here is the main theme for regular game play (as opposed to multi-ball) from the 1989 pinball machine "Mousin' Around," which revolves around cartoon mice and the troubles they're causing in a man's home, generally promoting good old-fashioned corny cartoon mayhem. It isn't an exact match, but then again, the original was all done on synthesizers, and I was using real instrument sounds.

Although the machine is labeled as a Bally/Midway machine, it should be worth noting that in 1988, Bally exited the pinball division and sold all their assets to Williams, who then decided to continue using the Bally label for some of its machines. (And indeed, many of my favorite tables are Williams tables. That doesn't mean other companies such as Stern or Gottlieb don't do good ones either; I have a few favorites from those companies as well. In short, I love pinball in general.)

This arrangement is for:

Alto saxophone
Vibraphone
2 electric guitars (1 lead, 1 rhythm, but both are playing the same thing)
Bass guitar
Drum set
Piano
