Artists Draw Robots and Mechs as People (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Transformers and more!)
I finally started watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and I'm super into it! I love all the robot designs and felt inspired to do a classic style PopCross episode and turn the robots into people! Normally I'd turn the mechs and bots into Superheroes specifically, but I wanted a bit more flex room and decided to just draw them as whatever people came to mind from looking at them.
So I drew a Boxer, a football player, a knight, a pilot and a superhero (had to have one in there).
And of course I wasn't just using Neon Genesis Evangelion's Eva. I also drew Optimus Prime from Transformers, Gypsy Danger from Pacific Rim, The Power Rangers Megazord and A gundam mech.
And then of course I also put out a call the the awesomely talented artists of the PopCross Community to send in their drawings turning Pop culture robots and mechs into people. We got stuff from Star Wars, Big Hero 6, Transformers and much more!
Also specific shout out to Rordrawings who sent in two submissions and drew them on his YouTube channel, linked here! https://youtu.be/Wq51B6mw0fY
