Arx Fatalis is an immersive sim Arkane studios masterpiece from 2002. It was a contemporary of Elder Scrolls III Morrowind and supposedly draws inspiration from the same game, Ultima Underworld.

Arx Insanity is a mod project that appears to have been abandoned since late 2024, but they were cooking with fire, adding lots of environmental detail, traversing options, and new items to the game as well as overhauling the textures to 2k. As of now the project is halted but if ever they finish it I will totally play it again.

The Mod Demo ends after a few levels, right before you reach the Titular city of Arx.
