I usually don't upload RPG videos but I do play that kind of stuff too. As an RPG this game is filled with constant violence ... I hope that doesn't bother people.

This is a peculiar type of RPG where you start from the beginning over and over again. Battles are very simplified 1-on-1 affairs with no commands, where the two sides repeatedly attack at the same time or take turns attacking. Each try you only get to play a certain number of battles, though you can gain more by winning against bosses, but you will eventually run out of battles. You try to reach as high a level and go as far as you can in each attempt. During the attempt you can buy equippable items or receive them from lucky item drops, and you can keep the items to help you in subsequent playthroughs. Money and exp. level reset after each try.

I enjoy this kind of RPG myself. Five of them that I have really liked, in no particular order, are:

Inflation RPG
Zawia RPG
Hero's Quest: Automatic RPG
Ashes - Exponential RPG --- the one in the video :D
Resolute Hero RPG

Spoilers Warning - I go pretty far into the game in this video. If you're interested in playing, you'd probably rather discover a lot of the content yourself rather than watching it here first. You might not want to read any further, or watch very much of the video.

This particular game features intriguing black-and-white-and-yellow art, and an absolutely bizarre game world that is apparently coming to an end. In that way the only comparable things I know of are Penny Arcade On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness chapters 3 and 4, and possibly Saints Row IV and onward.

I have played quite a bit in this game so I am fairly advanced, though I have not reached the end of the game (not to be confused with the end of time and space that seems to be occurring in the game :S ).

In each attempt of this style of RPG you usually want to seek out the bosses, to earn more battles, but in this video I skip two of the bosses that I know of on purpose.

Spoilers ... final warning on that ...

There is a boss that I can reach but I have not come close to winning against. Specifically, it is the Sun. Well, it's the Sun with some of those endergy double helixes that appear all over this game's art.

I guess, what business do I have even trying to defeat the Sun?!

Then again, a little earlier in the attempt I think I did destroy my own home world. :S

In this attempt my luck was generally good most of the way, but then extra bad against the Sun. I have come a lot closer than that to beating the Sun, but that was when my luck against the Sun was very very good, and I still fell short by quite a bit. A normal-luck attempt against that boss would fall somewhere in between ... until I can wrangle up some better items or better strategy, of course. I do not feel totally stuck at this point since there are probably some item drops I haven't gotten yet that could really help. There are probably also items in my inventory that could help, or I could improve my stat build.

I will attempt to describe this game's story, probably badly ...

In Chapter 1 you run across fairly normal black-and-white places defeating oddballs.

In Chapter 2 you find a huge dungeon or bunker or something (ruins). You defeat some more dudes, then a lot of robots, then guards guarding someone, and finally the person they are probably guarding -- a wealthy politician who may be giving you the finger. Beyond there things get weird, and perhaps unwisely you find and defeat an Avatar of the End.

In chapter 3 things get totally weird if they weren't already, and time and space get all warped and confused. You defeat an absolute ton of Avatars of the End, but the main one turns out to look like ...

You.

In chapter 4 you muse over whether you are the end, and then you walk through space proving that you are the end of your solar system. On the plus side, time and space seem pretty normal again. You destroy the moon, then your home planet, then Jupiter if you want to, and after that you destroy the Sun if you are stronger than I am in this video. If there's more, I haven't seen it yet.

There is probably a chapter 5 but again I haven't seen it yet.
