4Greetings and salutations everyone! Welcome to my first hands on with Ashes of Singularity
In this episode, I go through the tutorial mission and talk about how closely it relates to Supreme Commander, among other things.

I also experience a metric sh** ton of crashes. in this 34 minute episode I must have had 20 crashes. Not impressed with that. I sent in a ticket and I am also trying several other things, including complete wipe of video drivers...joy.
Anyway, will update with what 'fixes' my issue.

So this RTS is quite something. I loved Total Annihilation back in the day and I adored Supreme Commander and its expansions. That was many years ago, however, so technology has grown. That is what makes me really excited about this game. Back in the day, your computer would slow to a crawl (unless it was 10,000 dollars) with massive battles.
Now, with update graphics, better coding, and better technology, one can truly have massive scale fights without massive decrease in performance (depending on your computer).
That is what sets Ashes apart from other RTS like Starcraft for example. There are only 'so many' units you can have at one time. The same is true in Ashes....it's just that that number is about 500x more!
Assuming I get the crashing thing worked out I think I am going to have a ton of fun with this game!
