Ask A Chatbot | Live Head Squeeze Hangout replay | Head Squeeze
Head Squeeze had a live G+ Hangout on Thursday 12th September especially for the Loebner Prize for Artificial Intelligence.
The Loebner Prize for those not in the know, is the first formal implementation of the Turing Test - a test to find out just how human-like a computer is - named after Alan Turing. This year it's being held at the University of Ulster for the CultureTECH Festival.
In this hangout we spoke with inventor and event sponsor Dr Hugh Loebner, and the botmasters of this year's contestants - Bruce Wilcox and Steve Worswick. Dr Richard Wallace of Pandorabots also joined in.
AND most excitingly of all -- we were chatting to a chatbot up for the 2013 Prize, Mitsuku. We put your questions to Mitsuku and saw her answers real time.
We asked her 'Is alien life out there?' 'What's under your bed?' 'Who's your favourite Star Trek character?' and lots more.
To chat to Mitsuku yourself go to: http://www.mitsuku.com
CONGRATULATIONS to Steve and Mitsuku who won the Loebner Prize on Saturday 14th September 2013.
Steve gave his first post win interview to the BBC and you can read it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24107790
