Assassin Creed Empire: Why Ancient Rome IS THE BEST SETTING FOR AN AC GAME!

Ancient Rome is a setting that when one hears of it, they think of the Coliseum, the Legions of Rome marching to War, the Imperial Roman Emperors, their Pratoerian Guard and so much more. Rome was an Empire unlike none other, and it was one of those Empires that left its foundation on what would form the world of Medieval Europe and today.
In this series of videos, I'm going to be explaining my reasons as to why I think Assassin's Creed needs to go within its future titles: To Ancient Rome, the Persian Empire, and Ancient Mesopotamia.
These reasons prove why Ancient Rome would work as a fantastic setting for an Assassin's Creed Title. I'm going over my reasons to explain to you why it needs to be done. Some will say that we've already covered elements of Ancient Rome in other games, Revelations, Odyessy, and Origins.

Hear my counter-argument: We've not explored Ancient Rome at its full height, from its Republican days to the height of Rome in 180 AD under the reign of Marcus Aurelius. AC Origins only explored the assassination of Ceasar, but it has not shown the real breadth and depth of actual Roman History. Could AC Infinity fill it with Ancient Rome? We could have the assassination of Caligua being assassinated by a Hidden One for example.
You could have an Assassin's Creed Game in these potential settings:
- The Punic Wars: The Assasins aid General Hannibal Barca as he leads his epic campaign against Rome which is ruled by the Order of the Ancients, leading to the eventual downfall of Carthage itself.
- The Year of the Four Emperors: Be on the side of Vespasian as the Assasins work with him to liberate Rome from the tyranny of the Order of the Ancients that control Nero.
- The Roman-Pontic Wars: Sulla is a member of the Assassin Brotherhood that sees Mithradetes of Pontus as being supported by the Order of the Ancients and fights in epic battles.
- Bayek oversaw the rise of the Roman Empire under Augustus and helped to thwart the Roman Legions at the Battle of the Teutoberg Forest in 9 AD.
- The Reign of Commodus: The Order of the Ancients takes Commodus and puts him in power, with the Assassins fighting against him to thwart his rule.
- The Rise of Christanity: The Assasins fight on the side of Emperor Maxentius as he fights against Emperor Constantine, who is aided by the order of the Ancients.
And this is just a brief overview of the epic potential of Ancient Roman History! And we need a game with Bayek to oversee the Roman Period itself. It's so huge and epic I'm baffled that big triple AAA Gaming companies haven't realized the real potential that Roman History provides in the source of the video game as a medium to tell some of the most epic stories known to man!
So I want to know what YOU THINK. Do we need an Assassin's Creed in Ancient Rome? Or do we need other titles? I want to know what you think, and if you love Ancient Rome, you have to tell me and how you would see it work in the Assassin's Creed franchise.
