Optional objectives:
Disarm and kill guards: 3/3
Shoot the rope to save the pirate
DISARM AND KILL GUARDS: When the mission begins, approach the closest set of pirates and help them out. To disarm the guards, you need to go bare fisted. Counter when they attack and then pres the X button to disarm them. With their weapon in hand, kill them with it for the kill to count.
After you kill one guard with his weapon, you need to unequip the weapon and repeat the strategy for another one.
Approach each of the pirate icons and fight off the guards. For some areas, you'll need to be stealthy and kill the guards from behind to keep them from shooting the pirates!
The last area to the north with the remaining pirates is next to the fort. There are two snipers and several guards to deal with here, so get to it! Release the remaining pirates for the next objective.
SHOOT THE ROPE TO SAVE THE PIRATE: Make your way towards the gallows near the fort and bust out the pistol from the crowd. Aim at the rope above the pirate's head and shoot it to save him.
From there, eliminate the rest of the guards and free the pirate. Once you have freed all of the men for your crew, return to the tavern to complete the mission.

Prizes and Plunder
Optional objectives:
Use a swivel to kill sailors: 3/3
Plunder 20 rum
Set sail out into the ocean, and use your spyglass to spot any nearby schooners. One you've found one, press the X/A button to tag it.
Once locked onto a target, get in close and fire Heavy Rounds at it to incapacitate it. When the first schooner is nearly destroyed, sail in close and board it.
USE A SWIVEL TO KILL SAILORS: As your crew starts the boarding process, let go of the wheel and man the nearby Swivel gun and shoot and kill three or more sailors before jumping aboard the schooner. If you run out of Swivel ammo, don't worry. Board the schooner and eliminate the rest of the sailors to trigger a cutscene.
PLUNDER 20 RUM: After plundering the first schooner, sail out into further waters and look for another ship with more than enough barrels of Rum in their inventory. Once you find one with lots of Rum, loot and plunder it! Also, if you still need to kill more sailors with Swivel cannon, do it while you plunder that ship!
Sail back to Salt Key and pick up an intermediate hull upgrade from the harbor master to complete the mission and start the next one.
