Ezio is now preparing to end the conflict in the city, but first he need some clues about some suspicious stuff, Machiavelli, La Volpe's assumptions and how are the Thieves getting exposed all the time, he need to do it fast as the Thieves are currently in danger and La Volpe seems pretty frustrated about it, so he points out the blame at Machiavelli, Ezio do not agree with this opinion so he decides to discover the truth by himself while he is tailing Micheletto, a Elite Condottiero who serves Cesare Borgia's cause and the templar order. Ezio is late to save Francesco Troche, a personal friend of Cesare Borgia who dissapointed Cesare, but it's not important, another man's life is in danger, Pietro Rossi, he was Lucrezia's lover and he's got a important key to Cesare's castello, so Ezio needs him alive to retrieve the key before the wanted spy takes it first, Cesare, who is brother and lover at the same time with Lucrezia got jealous of Pietro and he ordered Micheletto to execute him in a ceremony at the Roman colosseum, Ezio must kill Micheletto and his guards, and then retrieve the key as fast as possible by protecting Pietro, this is when the spy makes his appearance, a Thieve who betrayed Ezio before and worked for the Borgia the entire time, that's when Ezio remembers about La Volpe's warning about Machiavelli and now he must run to save Machiavelli from La Volpe before it's too late and it ends up being a huge blow to the assasins.
