Assassin's Creed Future | Ubisoft is working with Tencent to create an Assassin’s Creed mobile game
The latest conference call with Ubisoft has revealed many things about the company. With the call, we now have the confirmation that they’re partnering with Tencent to release an Assassin’s Creed mobile game in the future. The famous action-adventure game will be built on Unreal Engine 4.
Furthermore, Ubisoft announced that they’re really interested in creating high-end and high-quality games for mobile gamers, based on their widely popular intellectual properties. For those who don’t know, Ubisoft is a AAA quality game developer on console and PC. They see the mobile gaming industry as a place, that they can further expand their franchises and brands. Much like toys and movies are used to further franchises, the mobile market is a vibrant and ever-expanding place for companies to promote their brand.
Back in 2018, Tencent took a 5% stake in Ubisoft. This was a time when French entertainment company Vivendi attempted a hostile takeover of Ubisoft. Even before the time of that stake, Tencent and Ubisoft had teamed up to release Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos for the Chinese audience.
