First, travel to Nassau. Hear Blackbeard talk about the British possibly attacking the island. Follow Blackbeard now. You need to get a diving bell, so that you can dig up treasures from shipwrecks.
Go sell off goods enough to have 5000 money, and purchase one. Set sail now to meet up with Blackbeard. Sail over to the wreck, and dive on down. Once down there, open up at least three treasure chests. If you find a barrel, interact with it to get more breath.
Eventually, you will find a hatch on a part of the sunken ship. Go down and open the chest to cause a collapse around you. Now swim through the cave in front of you. Surface in the air pocket to catch your breath than continue forward.
Avoid the sharks by hiding in the seaweed, then make it to the diving bell to haul yourself up
