Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Adventure Tuesdays - Part 23 - Using a Threat is not The Way of Christ
0A Christian would offer someone The Way of Christ. If they don't want to listen, then the Christian would move on. A Christian would never threaten and give an ultimatum and then suddenly turn on the person just because they didn't get their way.
Acts 13:49-52 49 And the word of the Lord was spreading throughout the whole region. 50 But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. 51 But they shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
Time and time again, the Christians of the first century were persecuted for what they believed. Yet in every circumstance, they flourished not allowing anything to stop them.
Acts 5:25-29 25 And someone came and told them, "Look! The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people." 26 Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people. 27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, 28 saying, "We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us." 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.
Christians don't deal in threats, we only deliver what God's Word says.
Matthew 13:3-9 3 And he told them many things in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, 6 but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. 8 Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears, let him hear."
A Christian will spread God's Word wherever they go. The seed of God's Word will fall on many different ears, but it is up to the person to hear what they are listening to and obey God's word as was done on the Day of Pentecost.
Acts 2:37-38 37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
