Light the beacon
After starting this quest, we'll need to climb the large Roman ruin in the centre of the area. Note that there is a Treasure Chest with some minor loot in the room at the base of the ruin. Once you have reached the roof, there is a pyre here.
Interact with the pyre to light it on fire. This will update our objectives.

Find and rescue Soma's advisors
Before leaving the pyre, note the corpse and letter nearby. The corpses holds a key which opens a house just to the northwest - inside you'll find a Treasure Chest with Supplies and Silver. We may as well stop by as we need to proceed past this to find Soma's advisors.
You will notice that three objective markers have been added to your map - one for each of Soma's advisors. Two of them are located on the island directly north and a third across the river to the west of the other two.We'll need to approach each of these three positions and rescue the targets. We'll need to do the following:.
The first of Somas advisors, Lif is located at the Lowlands Camp and is the southernmost of the objective markers. This is a large circular area with Archer platforms in several places and guards patrolling. The captives are held at the centre. Sneak/fight through the guards to release them. They'll help you take out any remaining hostiles.
Galinn is located at the eastern objective marker. He is trapped up in a wooden structure with a pack of five Wolves on the ground below his position. Clear out the Wolves - this is easy if you stand atop some ruins and shoot at them so they are unable to reach you. Once it is clear, climb to Galin's position and interact with him to revive him.
Birna can be found at the Gratian's Villa Ruins, which is found at the western of the three objective markers. This consists of a large hut with a group of six Saxon Soldiers surrounding it - use the tall grass and haystack to take them out. The Norsemen are located inside the hut. Whilst we are here, at the northern end of the hut, there is a wooden cover on the ground. Break this and a further two wooden walls below to find a Treasure Chest with some reagents.
Objective: Reach Soma's camp
Make your way back to the ruins of Middletun and Soma's makeshift camp. Approach her position for a conversation to complete the quest.
