Making A Bow Out Of A Leaf Spring I found an old leaf spring at the local salvage yard and thought it would make a great bow. The limb was made from a vehicle leaf spring cut and grinded into smaller and thinner strips to be fitted into flattened PVC pipes and plastic siyahs that belong to an old Geologic fiberglass bow. The riser is also homemade. Last time I measure its draw weight it was a round 70 pounds at full draw.
