Assertion: Menopause is a senile change which occurs in the ovaries at the age of 50 years. At this time, a women no longer ovulates and therefore moves out of child bearing phase.
Reason:FSH and LH are being produced by anterior lobe of pituitary gland but ovary doesn't respond to these hormones.
