The second incarnation of Asteroids. They fixed that business where you could exploit the firing pattern of the little saucer.

Basically the highest achievement of human art and science, for all time, ever.

Also, pretty sure I fixed the problem I was having with the sound cutting out. I think it was just a matter of the hard disk getting completely fragged. Unfragged it, all seems well (for now).

Also found another neat setting on the scan converter box, something called "fine tuner." Never bothered with that before. It seems to help.

Also noticed that both the scan converter and the vid capture card actually have sockets for 8 pin s-svideo or 8 pin DIN or whatever they call it. I'd love to run use those instead of s-video just to see if there's a difference, but oddly enough there does not appear to be any such thing as a male to male 8 pin s-video or DIN cable. What is this madness.
