AstroBotanica video game demo information
AstroBotanica Breaks the 50k Wishlists Mark, Demo Coming to Steam Next Fest soon.
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, and a fruitful closed Alpha during the summer, AstroBotanica crossed the 50k wishlist mark earlier this week and the team is thrilled with the community response thus far.
Upcoming science-driven survival game, AstroBotanica, has recently surpassed the 50k Wishlists on Steam, and will be featuring a demo of their game during Steam Next Fest between October 13th and 20th. This will be the first public opportunity for players to test the game, following the closed Alpha access for the original 1500 Kickstarter backers in June of 2025.
AstroBotanica has successfully raised £46,836 on Kickstarter, aiming to expand the game’s scope with support from the survival community. Over the summer, the team has been hard at work using feedback from backers to polish the game experience further ahead of the Demo release. Space Goblin has also confirmed plans to make the game fully playable on Steam Deck for those interested in taking their adventure-survival experience on the go.
AstroBotanica is built on the foundation of core survival games but with more of an emphasis on scientific discovery throughout the adventure than you experience in core survivals. While managing key resources is essential for your extraterrestrial protagonist, Xel, the game will reward players for exploration, scientific curiosity, puzzle-solving, experimentation, and collaboration with Primal Humans met on Prehistoric Earth.
Key Features:
Plant Research: Discover the unique qualities of the Earth’s flora, and its effects on living organisms and the environment.
Tonics Crafting: Experiment with ingredients obtained from plant life to prepare mixtures for various uses, and develop recipes for later.
Cultivation: Nurture select plant species and build your very own garden, look after it by watering and nourishing your crops, and protecting it from hungry animals.
Exploration: Travel between islands and explore different biomes to discover new plants, while learning to handle dangerous wildlife and solving hidden mysteries.
Human Interaction: Break the ice and connect with primal humans inhabiting the islands to foster relationships that can lead to trading and mutual assistance.
