We return to arid planet Calidor to play with some new toys added in the Astroneer Exploration Update, which focuses on new craftable things to aid explorations, as well as new recreational storage.

We check out the new Astroneer jetpacks, which come in two varieties, one for earlier in the game and one for later - though neither are too much effort to craft. We first see the Astroneer solid fuel jump jet, which gives you short bursts of flight for free, but expires after a certain amount of use.

Then we check out the proper Astroneer jetpack, powered efficiently by hydrazine that is crafted from ammonium and gas.

The Astroneer hydrazine jetpack gives you full flight, slowly draining the cannister of hydrazine you attach to it, allowing you both horizontal and vertical flight for long periods of time. Because it's made using titanium alloy, you will need to have left Sylva before crafting this.

We also check out the new Astroneer field shelter, a simpler way of setting your spawn point and to provide both power and oxygen when out exploring. And we play with the Astroneer camera, which you can use to take photos, both instant and timed. And we check out glowsticks, which glow and are sticky, I guess.
