Nanami is a selectable hidden character who operates as a 'mirror' character, which means she turns into her opponent, creating a mirror match for the fight.
However by using alternative methods to select her, this will mean that you actually select her as her 'own' character. And the result is a graphically messed up character. This flawed character happens to have basic moves, but no special moves. 'She' doesn't even have any hit boxes and cannot be hit either.
The most interesting thing is that this isn't even a copy/clone of any other character in the game (unlike Dragon), so in this sense, it actually makes this character completely unique. This suggests that Nanami was most likely planned to be her own unique character, but probably changed into a 'mirror' character due to time constraints.
