In which I play "Doom", released by Zelax in 2023, and programmed by Steve McCrea and Krzysztof Swiecicki. This was ported from the Vic 20 (!), which is moderately hard to imagine. I'll have to go and take a look at that version, for sure.

This is an incredible implementation of Doom on the Atari system. I wasn't a real Doom guy back in the day as it gave me motion sickness, so I'm not the best person to evaluate the completeness of the port, but it has an amazing number of features.

You should really take a look at this game for yourself, even if simply to admire the technical feat.
