3In which I play "Popeye", published by Parker Brothers in 1983 and written by David W. Johnson. This is a (mostly) excellent home conversion of the classic arcade game from Nintendo.
All of the features and game play of the arcade are present. The controls are excellent, the music is good, and the graphics are about as good as you could hope for on a home computer system of the time. The not-quite-so-good thing about this game, and it isn't a game-ruiner, is that the collision detection when Popeye is punching bottles thrown by either the Sea Hag or Brutus is pretty terrible.
