Thanks to Petsasjim1 for unearthing this. It reminds me of something called Equinox, back in the day, released by Mikro-Gen.

The objective is to hit all the levers to switch-off barriers and open the exit. Some of these levers are on flying robots. It has 10 levels in total, with sectors and cells within each one.

Each level begins in a sector-selection screen where you can also equip your ship with things like extra jet power, at the cost of some fuel. This fuel can be picked-up on the way, but there just isn't enough of it! If you run-out, you have to lose one of your 3 orbs to get the default fuel-supply.

I found it way too hard and buggy (sometimes an error message appears) so used a variety of cheats throughout to beat it.
