Throughout his adventure, Ryza will rely on his new synthesizing powers by creating objects that will help him overcome any obstacles on his path, including the terrible threat to his hometown. Ryza Workshop: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideoutpresents a completely redesigned synthesis interface, which clearly displays the materials and effects that can be added to objects. This new system offers a number of cells that the player can unlock via the strategic placement of the object. This provides different results depending on how the cells branch.
Special cells of change can also be discovered to unlock new recipes, allowing aspiring alchemists to experiment with different objects while discovering new and exciting results.
The new object reconstruction process then allows to use again these elements created during the synthesis. Rebuilding an object offers the possibility of making it stronger than the one originally built. The more an object is rebuilt, the higher it will be. However, rebuilding an object also increases the dexterity required, which limits the number of characters that can transmit them. Choosing between strength of the element and ease of use is now vital when planning combat strategies.
