edit: of forgot to mention, this game is pretty standalone so you don't need to play the other games to enjoy it, though playing the other games does amplify the experience.

and now we reach to the third and final game to the Dusk series in regards to the Atelier games, which is Atelier Shallie: Alchemist of the Dusk Sea. though there is probably going to be more atelier games down the road, just the dusk subseries that is coming to an end. To say that I have been a pretty devoted fan of the atelier games on the ps3 would be appropriate. Ever since completing Atelier Rorona from quite a few years back, the atelier games have always been games that I look forward to. They’re just such pleasant and unique games to play though and are such a joy for me to experience. From their relaxing and upbeat atmosphere and charming characters, to how the games are structured, to the robust alchemy system to even having enjoyable turn based combat systems (well from meuru and onward). The Atelier games are just games that I really adore and look forward to. and Atelier Shallie is no exception. so without further delay, let’s begin. Hello, I am Peter_47890/Sirus and welcome to my Review of Atelier Shallie: Alchemist of the Dusk Sea. Atelier Shallie is a role playing game that was developed by Gust and published by Tecmo Koei. It is only available on the PS3.

Pros:
- Charming visuals and characters and a great soundtrack
- life task structure executed well
- Engaging and fun combat and alchemy systems

Cons
- take quite a bit of time for the game to open up its gameplay mechanics
- occasional typos
-not as much english dub track as I would of liked.

Summary:

all and all, I just loved my time with Atelier Shallie. The story and characters were charming, the visuals were really nice to look at, the music was awesome, the life task system was executed well, the turn based combat system is a lot of fun to play around as is the robust alchemy system. There are some downsides to the game such as the occasional typos, there not being as many scenes voiced in the English dub track as much as I want, the game taking quite a bit of time to open up its gameplay mechanics, and etc. but I say I really enjoyed my time with Atelier Shallie.
