Welcome to another episode of Athena in Teyvat!
In today's episode we're in the Liyue region. You're going to witness the unlocking of this region on the map and you'll be joining me as I adventure high and low in my newly discovered region.
This video is a condensed, sped up version of 2 hours of game play from my 4 hour grind on Sunday.
I'm just a world level 1 AR 24 player and I have much of the map to unlock yet, let alone bosses to battle and stories in Mondstadt to complete *nervous laugh*
But while there's much left untouched in the Mondstadt area, venturing into Liyue has proven to be one heck of a leveling up experience.
This co-op ain't my first rodeo in the Liyue region, however, it is the first time for me facing bosses, new monsters and taking on random events as they pop up during my journey. Did I mention Seelie flying in the direct path of danger?!
Sometimes I wonder if the treasures are really worth the HP losses, getting knocked down and having to get up again... whether or not I felt fearful of some of the monsters I met across in Mondstadt and feared encountering them again... Liyue has proven to me that facing my fears is definitely going to make me a stronger noob.
I surprise myself at times as I find myself fearlessly running into battle during these co-op battles... maybe it's the adrenaline of having to face off with the bosses, maybe it's the fact that I have some high level company who come into my world (Kylie Minogue reference :D) whatever it is, it certainly has shown me that I can face my fears and fight the most menacing of opponents without crying and screaming like a streamer XD
I know there's only one boss battle in here, but in the earlier 2 hours of the grind, I battled the electro and anemo hypostases along side a world level 3 player. Sunday is usually a grinding day for high level players so I decided to stay in co-op mode from my first encounter with Alexis until I chose to explore Liyue on my own as I didn't want to hold back all the high-ranking players who visited my world temporarily.
I'm still quaking at the thought of facing off against Dvalin, but eventually I know I will... maybe after I defeat 5 ruin guards I encountered on the Chi Guyun quest... which is a pretty long quest which had me wondering why did I even embark on that quest NOW?!
