Atom RPG Review – Fallout is (Kind of) BACK!
113Atom RPG is like Fallout, but Russian! Okay, there’s a little more to the game than that, but that sums it up pretty nicely I think. In this review, I look at Atom RPG’s strengths, weaknesses, how it compares to both old and new Fallout, and generally make a fool of myself.
The one thing to note about Atom RPG is that it tries very hard to emulate old-school Fallout, and at that, it succeeds with flying colors. It’s a top-down, turn-based role-playing game that doesn’t hold your hand. But any fan of old Fallout can also tell you those games were HARD, and Atom RPG is no different.
You could say it’s the Dark Souls of Fallout-inspired tactical turn-based RPGs. But that’d be stupid, so don’t.
