91Today we return to the incredible world of Atomic Heart as we tackle its second DLC with Trapped in Limbo. I archived Atomic Heart last year and it was a breath of fresh air when it came to the setting and its overall atmosphere. With Trapped in Limbo the developers make the approach from an entirely different angle as we find ourselves in a world entirely made of candy.
Now we have to traverse all the sweetness and fight enemies in the shape of gingerbread men to make our escape from this limbo. The game focuses more on minigames with a lot of parkour. Sometimes the parkouring is interrupted with some combat segments or obstacle courses. Its all quite refreshing and at a good pace. The vibrant world is inviting without feeling too much like those bright color schemes in most FPS games today.
Probably the weakest part of the game is the goose minigame which lasts a bit too long. Having it last half its length would have made that part more enjoyable, but all in all Limbo was one heck of a ride!
