Attribute Points and Focus Points in Bannerlord help you level up your skills and acquire more perks. They provide faster learning rates, which is how much experience you can earn by leveling a specific skill and also provide a learning limit upgrade which is the green marker and shading that shows what the character can level up to.

You can still learn past your learning limit, but your learning rate or experience gain will go down every time you level up until it is at 0%, at which point you cannot level that skill any further.

Now Attribute points are granted every 4 character levels and can level up 1 out of 6 attributes in the game. When an attribute is leveled up, there is a learning rate and learning limit upgrade to all skills that are connected to the attribute.

Focus points are granted every character level and can level up 1 of 18 skills in game. When a skill is leveled up, there is a learning rate and learning limit upgrade to only that specific chosen skill.
