I made this setup to replace OnStreamChat, a program that would separate & style the streamer's own messages - but which doesn't work with Linux Mint.
This is done with Chroneco's customizable chatboxes and a veadotube setup! I have manual hotkeys set to different expressions, operated separately from the chatbox proper.
As for the chatboxes themselves, one part of the configuration allows specific names to be ignored (such as the likes of Nightbot). Inverting that setting in the code allows me to set up a whitelist instead for just my name.

Notes:
As another bonus, this works directly from the main chat, so chat history is also no longer an issue.

Theoretically, it could be possible to whitelist other users for non-mic collab-style streams, such as art sessions. I imagine that I'd set up yet another chatbox for this case, although POP Chatbox allows each chat member's messages to be styled individually.
