In this audio test I show you the difference in audio quality when recording with an audio recorder with no protection against using an audio recorder with a foam windshield on and then a deadcat on (in this case, a deadkitten).

Audio has not been adjusted in any way in post production to ensure that the audio test is fair.

The camera that I used to record in the video is the Sony RX100 III. I unfortunately recorded at 25p instead of 50p. Lightning in my room was quite poor too. Apologies :)

The audio recorder that was used in the test is the Sony ICD-SX2000. You can see my first impressions of this audio recorder at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XI3maSTDHM&t=1332s . Stay tuned for a full review within the next week or two.

The deadkitten that was used in this test was the Movo WS1. You can find out more about this deadkitten at https://www.movophoto.com/products/movo-ws1-furry-outdoor-microphone-windscreen-muff-for-small-compact-microphones-up-to-3-x-40mm-l-x-d-fits-the-zoom-h1-shenggu-sg-108-more

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this audio test so please leave a comment below. As always, if you enjoyed the video, please click like, share, and subscribe :)

Thanks guys.
