Aurelion Sol was one of the first beings to come into existence during the universe’s spark of creation. During his observation of this newly-formed universe, the gods of the celestial realm guided him to a mysterious planet.
During this encounter, the Aspects tricked Aurelion Sol into wearing a magical ornamented crown, which stole his knowledge and bound him to Mount Targon, where the Aspects would use him for their own purposes.
As millennia have gone by, the Aspects’s powers and Aurelion Sol’s confining crown has begun to weaken, and he plots his revenge against his captors
and the planet now known as Runeterra.
