The open-world survival crafting game, Nightingale, just released a new developer update. Based on playtester feedback, the developers want to provide a more cohesive and immersive world by creating additional environmental details, gatherable materials, and creature variants. They confirmed that at the launch of Early Access, Nightingale will include dedicated servers, which can be shared among players who chose to play with each other. This means that anyone who has been invited to play on the server will be able to log in and make changes at any time, regardless of whether the host of the server is online or not. They also mentioned that there are no plans for private servers or modding to be available at Early Access launch. Instead, they suggest that players use the Realm Card system as a way to create their desired realm. Realm Cards offer the ability to change things such as the difficulty of the realm, the day/night cycle, and what enemies they might encounter. While they have still not announced an official release date, they did confirm that the game will be released in Early Access in 2023, and that there are still several playtests planned before Early Access launch.
