Australian GP F1 Qualifying 2018: Bottas Crash Analysis
Valtteri Bottas' 2018 F1 campaign got off to a poor start during Australian GP qualifying in Melbourne. Driver 61's coach, Scott Mansell, analyses exactly what caused Bottas' crash as his Mercedes GP team-mate, Lewis Hamilton, flew to pole position.

Bottas' crash started as he entered Melbourne's turn one, where his Mercedes Formula One car turned in a little better than expected. After Bottas took too much of the kerb, his car bounced across the circuit, forcing him wide into turn two.
Valtteri Bottas was then on the grass, while the car had lateral load, before he oversteered into the outside wall.
Bottas will now start the Australian GP further down than ideal, which should make for an interesting race for him tomorrow!
