2.6 l i4 8000 maximum rpm and 3.0 l i6 9000 maximum rpm, the best small engines for supercars I obtained (for these two supercar bodies).
There are the best because the V6, V8 and V12 displacement equivalents occupies more space and also weight more (the engine blocks being bigger and having extra parts).
Of course a 3.0 l V12 revs much higher than a 3.0 l i6, which is very important for much better acceleration.
But a 3.0 l V12 is harder and more expensive to make, plus that the extra weight doesn't minimize the fuel consumption.
And the inline 6 cylinders engine can get the widest maximum torque rpm range.
