One model, two turbo pressures stages (eco [0.40 bar of boost] and sport [1.40 bar of boost]). Easy to be engaged when you need it, by pushing of a button. The turbo pressure gets changed from the ECU (commanding the turbo actuator to allow another 1.0 bar of boost).

The variable compression ratio is a little too "fancy" (complicated), the variable timing can be done by a hydraulic system (similar to the VVT and/or VVL systems), but I didn't need for the sport mode to change the timing (not providing a significantly better fuel economy).
