I'm not a BMW fan, but that doesn't look like a BMW as much as you think.
Best redline interval seems 6400-6700 rpm, for both emissions and the length of gears, not to have too big too short gear ratios.
Best map richness seems to be 25-30, to balance out COx and NOx emissions, at least for redline lower than 6700 rpm.
Best compression ratio for minimizing emissions even for the biggest engines seems to be 7.6 (sometimes you can go up to 8.4, but that's a little too much though).

At least 0.8 bar you need for proper emissions reduction, maximum 1.2 bar, sometimes 1.4-1.6 bar might be still ecofriendly enough (very eco).
0.4-0.6 bar is ridiculous, Euro 4 territory, too economical.
Naturally aspired engines have the worst emissions, like how they even let any car producer still make naturally aspired engine.
Most times the best intake manifold seems to be Std. Mid. 70-100.
"Turbo mid" headers are mandatory for not having too hot exhaust.

I don't think that my engines are too powerful.
Reliability seems good enough, though.
Most definitely car producers nowadays still do not really too forced out petrol engines.
It really seems that my engines are the exact way all engines should be, in real life also, not really too expensive and too good for production.
