Autosave Slot Manipulation Method Found!
12It's been a while, almost three months, so I decided to make a Video and explain what I am about to do.
The LCS/VCS Guide Remakes are put on hold. They are just Remakes, after all, so I am in no hurry to get those done, honestly. What truthfully sucks is that the FP/EC/EC2 Kuruma is FIRST to record for the LCS Guide. ...One of the WORST Vehicles in the game. When I made the current Video for the Guide years ago, it took me over 4 or 5 hours of constantly reloading after failing to bail out properly during the Cutscene, which is always AFTER nearly 20-30 minutes worth of setup. Just thinking about it always puts me off to do the Guide. It'll get done, eventually. I know that.
So, that leaves either SA DE, GTA V PC, GTA IV PS3, or GTA V PS3 to assemble Saves for. Since IV/V on PS3 are MONSTER HUGE Projects, I decided I will knock out SA DE and GTA V PC first and work on these Projects over the next few months and into the Summer. Toward the end of Summer, I will likely begin work on GTA IV and GTA V on PS3 using RPCS3 and knock those out once and for all, as well. This will likely ALL BE DONE before GTA VI is released, so there will still be time to knock out the LCS/VCS Guide Remakes.
This brings me to the Video I just uploaded. In all the Mobile Ports as well as the DE Ports, there is an AUTOSAVE Slot which allows you to "save the game" by activating a Side Mission but not actually "saving the game" by entering a Safehouse and accumulating the Safehouse Visits/Times Saved Stat. For III/VC, it works much easier and highly recommended. All you have to do is find a Cabbie/Taxi and simply enter it, activate Taxi Driver, and cancel it. Now you can close your game out, find the Autosave Slot in the Documents Folder and back it up. Boot up the game again, press Resume. Now you will be EXACTLY right where you left off, inside of your Cabbie/Taxi, and it won't affect the Stats in any way, shape, or form!
Problem is, that DOES NOT WORK for SA DE! So thanks to DE Project for finding this Method out with using the Dancing Minigame as a way to trigger an AUTOSAVE to occur, but also while not effecting the Stats in any way, shape, or form!
I tried this on a Save that already completed the Story Mission "Life's a Beach" which DOES record a Dancing High Score in the Stats. When you then use this Autosave Slot Dancing Minigame, it will actually completely REMOVE that Stat about "Life's a Beach" and what you last danced during that Mission. None of that matters. Since it changes every time you go out on a date with a Girlfriend and dance, as well.
This has restored my faith in attempting to begin my SA DE 13.90% Starter Save! I wanted to begin on May 1st, but took a couple of days to find a solution for this, and here it is! I'll try my best to complete the Starter Save in full and with only 1 Safehouse Visit using the Autosave Slot and once completed, I will continue work on going to 100% with 68-74 Special Vehicles. Since the SF Impound is completely busted (works on Mobile SA DE I heard?) for the DE and Version 1.01 I am playing on, I can't even store 77 Special Vehicles, the max is now 74. But even still, to get this is by converting a bunch of Vehicles into EP/FP. I am pretty sure I won't care to get all of those Rare Vehicles in my Starter Save considering I did this already for PS2, PC, and Mobile. No need for DE, other than perhaps the awesome Seasparrow since I need it and use it during the Starter Save Runs, anyways! So, when all is said and done, I'll likely finish with 68 Special Vehicles, which is max capacity without using any Impounds when all is said and done. Yes, the DP Leviathan is skipped, but now an AP Leviathan is possible, but it uses a DE Exclusive Method that might be only Keyboard/Mouse Controls and NOT a Controller. Another thing to figure out eventually, but at least I can now safely complete the Starter Save! That DE Exclusive Method is also used to unstick all of the stuck to the ground Sawn-Off Shotgun Vehicles, so now all of those are possible on DE and have normal Methods without dumb AP Conversions on repeat.
