I'm developing a simple app that can be used to capture clean passthrough footage on the Meta Quest 3. Specifically in Spatial/3D following @hughhou 's set up guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odx5bNwdvOA

The PSC - Passthrough Spatial Capture app v0.2.0 can be downloaded here, it will soon be available on @sidequestvr :

IMPORTANT Make sure you disable stabilisation in your Quests camera settings to avoid any annoying bars/flickering to the sides.

Install and use at your own risk since the boundary is disabled I accept no responsibility for any damage to yourself or your property!

Currently you will still get a message saying 'You've moved too far' if you move a certain distance from where you started/set your boundary. This is shown in this footage.

Post processing done in DaVinci Resolve.
Then to get it YouTube VR ready I used the following ffmpeg command:
.\ffmpeg -i INPUT.mp4 -aspect 1 -c copy -metadata:s:v:0 stereo_mode=1 OUTPUT.mkv

I hope one day YouTube will properly offer proper 3D options for all uploads so 2D/anaglyph/SBS/TAB are selectable.

The video is best viewed in Skybox VR on Quest, use the search code LiAM3Dx23 to find it easily.

Credit to klankbeeld on freesound.org for the woodland audio:

The Quest loudly recorded my breathing more than any of the environmental sounds. Next time I plan to bring my Zoom H4n Pro along to capture better stereo audio.
