Figured I'd just upload this quick. This is around 14 seconds slower than my Any% Legacy route, so I don't use it.
GUIDE HERE since I didn't bother editing the video or using a mic:
• Don't bother hesitating before lining up with the left corner circled by my cursor.
• Once the water rises to the point shown at my cursor, simply hold left until the screen fades to black after drowning.
• While respawning, hold right & watch the minimap. → The instant you reach the darkest tile on the map, do 2 full jumps, 1 short jump, then another full jump to cleanly get across the screen without falling or getting stuck on anything.
• As soon as you pass the screen, press left to zip to the far right side of this room next to the Boomerang. Done.
→ While the timing for this trick is otherwise tight & jank, this setup is very consistent & easy.
→ Remember to jump for vertical door alignments to save seconds over the course of a run. I mention this, because for some reason I'm still the only person who does this and I mentioned it with my last run nearly 2 weeks ago. Those transition jumps were not random.
